Happy Hearts - April/May 2013
Happy Hearts began in 2003, in loving memory of Heather Nugent, who was tragically killed in a car accident two days before her 18th birthday. The last days of her life were spent in the PICU at Children’s. As a memorial, and in appreciation of the care she received, the Nugent family decided to give back. Heather's father declared April as Children’s Hospital month at his three grocery stores – Best Buy Markets in Hanford, Visalia and Lemoore. During this time, customers donate $1 to purchase an icon and have their names displayed on the store.
Color the Skies: Labor Day Weekend 2013
Rise. Shine. Give. Hot air balloons fill the air around Modesto and Ripon during the Color the Skies Balloon Festival on Labor Day weekend, featuring activities and performances for families and 1 mile and 5K runs. Jessica Coleman, a former Foundation Board Member, founded the event in 2006 as a way for her and her husband Greg Coleman, former Children's Board of Trustees Chair, to raise awareness and financial support for Children's Hospital. Change Bandits: July - September 2013
Change Bandits are volunteers who support Children's Hospital by asking for donations from their co-workers, family and friends for the weeks leading up to the annual KISS Country for Kids Radiothon. If you are a Change Bandit and need to return your bag or would like more information on beging a Change Bandit in the future, please contact Megan.
KISS Country for Kids Radiothon: September 5-7, 2013
KISS Country, 93.7 FM holds their annual Radiothon to benefit the children and families served at Children's Hospital. Listeners are encouraged to call in donations and make a personal financial pledge. In 2012, Radiothon and Change Bandits rasied more than $206,000. Harvest Ball: Friday, September 27, 2013
Save the date! On September 27, 2013, proud supporters of Children's Hospital will gather for the Central Valley’s premiere black tie gala, the annual Harvest Ball. This benefit raised more than $500,000 in 2012 through sponsorships, silent and live auctions, and donations. Generously hosted by Bill and Linda Smittcamp, this will again be the signature event of the year!

Kids Day - 2014 date to be determined
The 26th annual Kids Day, sponsored by The Fresno Bee and ABC 30, was on Tuesday, March 5, 2013. As one of the largest fundraising events in the Central Valley, Kids Day hosts over 5,000 volunteers from 20 communities, all selling the special Kids Day edition of The Fresno Bee. Children’s Hospital Central California Golf Tournament - May 2014
10th annual Golf Tournament presented by Taco Bell and ABC 30. Golf enthusiasts will travel to Stevinson Ranch Golf Club to have fun while giving to the Central Valley’s premier pediatric medical center. Participants play a full day of golf and enjoy lunch, dinner, and exciting silent/live auctions. The live auction items include US Open Tennis Championship tickets, a weekend in Bodega Bay, 7 nights at an ocean-front condo in Kauai, and much more!
