Children's Hospital is here because five young women had a plan. They didn't let anyone tell them their plan was too big. Instead they showed everyone that with the support of enough people, a big plan can become one of the best children's hospitals in the nation.
We have another big plan and just like those young mothers, we know we can do it again. We need the same community support they had to bring the big plan into reality. The most comprehensive pediatric cardiac care in the region is available at the Willson Heart Center. This program has deep roots, having performed one of the first open heart procedures in Fresno in the 1950's. The Willson Heart Center Endowment was created to ensure that high-quality medical and surgical care for children with heart defects is available in the Valley for generations to come. Donate Now»
This endowment will provide permanent support for the creation of a fully-accredited Child Advocacy Center. The program currently operates a clinic and sees follow-up patients and outside referrals. The staff is trained in both the physical and psycho-social aspects of child abuse. Donate Now»
The Campaign for Children's raises support for the new West Expansion, a 60,000 square foot, two story expansion currently growing on the Hospital’s western skyline. The Plaza’s first floor will include eight new Emergency major care exam rooms and two trauma rooms. Children’s Emergency Department is connected to our Imaging Center, which will receive a third MRI room, a fluoroscopy imaging suite and another diagnostic x-ray suite. The plan for the second floor expands our surgical and critical care capabilities, giving us two new operating rooms and eight Pediatric Intensive Care rooms. Donate Now»
